The ice show has wrapped up another season of figure skating in Westport! How time flies!! We received many compliments on the show this year and we were fortunate to be able to incorporate so much dance into our routines.

There are many people that put in long (but enjoyable!) hours in order to pull the show together. Thank you to the club President Allison Scheuermann. When she's not skating, she's working hard to get everything and everyone organized. Additional thank yous go out to all the members of the executive committee!

Thank you to all our local business sponsors: Westport Telephone Communications, Kudrinkos Country Grocer, and the Westport Legion. Your donations help us purchase ice time for all our skaters including the CanSkaters, STARSkaters, and
PowerSkaters. We couldn't do it without you!

Last but certainly not least, thank you to our coaches Marilyn Crawford, Stacy Blair, and Rob Ainsworth. They worked very hard to choreograph routines, prepare music, and even participate in the show!

Congratulations to Gabriella Gates! She is the Westport CanSkater of the year for 2012/2013. This award recognizes a skater who demonstrates talent and passion for the sport  of figure skating.

Congratulations to Abby Christy and Brooke Breese! They are the CanSkate Champions for the 2012/2013 season. This award is presented to skaters who demonstrate the qualities that embody the "Spirit of a Champion" -  commitment, perseverance, dedication, passion, triumph and talent.

The Ice Show was recorded by Tony Hicks, "The Camera Guy". If you would like to purchase a copy of the show, he can be contacted be email at tony.hicks@cogeco.ca or by phone at 613-345-8739

Enjoy the warmer seasons and see you next year!!
